Location: Centrally located on 3818 Oleander Drive in the Wilmington Arts Center between the mall and Toys R Us.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 830am-830pm
Friday - Saturday 830am-1130pm
Cost: Never a registration fee! $7.00 per hour for the first child and only $5.00 per hour for siblings!
Registration: In order to register with Simply Play we ask you complete the following: 1) Registration form 2) Release agreement 3) Read the Polices, Rules and Guidelines. Payment is due upon retrieval of your child. We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard as forms of payment. Sorry we do not accept checks.
Safety: Parents will sign-in when leaving a child in our care. Pictures of child and parents will be taken at the time of registration or upon arrival. A staff member will check you in and open the gate to our playarea for your child. When picking up your child, please have a picture ID available. This is for the protection of our staff, yourself and most importantly the children. A staff member will greet you and note your departure time. We will release children only to those with a picture ID who have been authorized to pick up the child. We also have a chime at the front door to alert us of anyone entering or exiting the building.
Daily Activities: We provide several opportunities for your child to explore gross motor skills, fine motor skills, language development and creative expression. We incorporate storytime, active play and arts and crafts into our playtime each day. We have biweekly and monthly themes that foster creativity in a fun and exciting fashion. PLAY is the primary focus of our day.
Personal Belongings: Please leave shoes and other personal belongings in the cubbies provided. Children entering into our play area are required to wear socks at all times. All bottles/sippy cups should be labeled clearly with your child’s name. If something needs to be refrigerated let a staff member know and we will be happy to accommodate your needs. Please provide Simply Play with diapers/change of clothes for your child if needed. Please remember to label all personal items.
Making Appointments: We accept children on a drop-in basis, however it is best to call ahead to make a reservation if possible.
Emergency Procedures: All staff members are CPR/First Aid certified. We keep a First Aid Emergency kit on hand and emergency phone numbers are easily accessible to staff members. We take every precaution to ensure the safety of all children; however, in the case of an accident or injury you will be notified.
Healthy Kids: In the interest of keeping the children and our staff members healthy, we are unable to accept ill children. The following are examples of children who are ill:
Children should be up to date on all immunizations. We do not administer any type of medication

Meals and Snack Time: Healthy and yummy snacks will be provided by Simply Play! We are happy to provide lunch and dinner as well for an additional cost of only $3.00 each. You are also welcome to bring your own.

Art Time: There are plenty of activities for creativity and self expression here at Simply Play. From playdoh to paint we do an art project everyday!
Cleanliness: We pride ourselves on keeping Simply Play clean and germ free! Therefore, we ask that children use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting our play area. Our staff and the children in our care wash their hands regularly including, prior to and after eating and after using the restroom. Our staff washes their hands after each diaper change. We sanitize the changing table after each use and toys are cleaned on a daily basis.
Definition Of Drop-in Childcare: A childcare arrangement where care is provided while parents participate in activities that are not employment related, and where parents are easily accessible. The operation must be able to reach the parent by telephone, cellphone or pager, etc. The parent must be able to return to the facility within 15 minutes.
